Under difficult conditions, the Schindler Pension fund generated a satisfactory performance of +2.70% for the 2015 financial year.
Swiss real estate, which is the largest asset class in the portfolio at over 30%, generated a performance of +6.7%, and was thus the principal driver behind the positive overall result.
In the alternative investment segment, private equity produced an impressive gain of +7.8%.
Meanwhile, Swiss equities also delivered a positive result, of +3.7%, thanks to the relatively high proportion of small and medium-sized enterprises in the portfolio.
Foreign currency bonds suffered under the weakness of European currencies and were the poorest performer, at -4.3%.
